Food Relief Arrives in Northwest Haiti

We are excited to announce that our food relief container arrived in Haiti without any problems. We are now able to continue providing food to over 250 orphans on a daily basis! If you would like to help us begin raising money for our next container please contact clint@heartofthebride.org.

CORE Fund Update: September 20, 2011

We are excited to say that our CORE Fund is now at $102,000! We are encouraged by the response of our friends to help meet these needs. We are still praying for God's provision with the remaining $120,000. Want to get involved? We have a variety of ideas that won't take much of your time. Food Relief on its way to Haiti

We are thankful to report that through the generosity of several friends of HOB we have secured funding for our Haiti Feeding Program! This is a tremendous blessing that God has provided to ensure 250 orphans will have food to eat.

The container will be packed Monday, September 19th at the Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) facility in Shaumberg, IL before it heads to Haiti. The food should arrive in NW Haiti within 6 weeks.

Please join us in praying for blessings on the volunteers who packed the FMSC food during a MobilePack™ event, those who gave the funds to ship the container, and most importantly that the container will clear Haitian customs QUICKLY!

Summer Mission Update

This summer has been a busy (in a good way) and exciting time for HOB Missions. Our staff has been busy leading teams from all over the country serving orphans in Haiti, Kenya, Uganda, and Zambia. It has been a huge encouragement to our international partners and the many children and communities they serve.

We have witnessed people dedicate their lives to Christ, completed much-needed construction projects, distributed food to the hungry, taught children about Jesus, and displayed compassion to those in areas of great need. Not to mention the life-changing experiences gained by those willing to leave the comfort of home to serve others in Jesus' name!

HOB has two large trips in the coming weeks and we would ask that you pray for their work and that they would be Christ's hands and feet.

Please pray for the team currently in Kenya. July 23 - August 7. 
On August 1st they will be leading a youth camp for over 100 children in Machakos, Kenya. The camp will include Bible teaching, worship, small groups, drama, recreation, and all the fun typically found in a church summer camp. All of these children live in an extremely impoverished area of Kenya and most don't even have shoes. We are praying for great things as they experience God in a new way. Join us in praying that these children will know that God loves them and their lives will be changed.

Please pray for our team heading to Haiti Aug 5-13. 
The team will be painting the exterior of the buildings at Human Care School as well as performing discipleship with the students and community outreach projects. This is a youth trip so please pray that the team will minister to their fellow students in a powerful way.

Niceville, Florida Women Return from Zambia

A group of 5 women from the Niceville area spent June 4th through June 18th ministering alongside our international partners and HOB Missionaries in Kitwe, Zambia. The ladies spent time with the kids at Sara Rose Children's Home, the boys at Nehemiah Boys' Ranch, and the girls at The House of Jerusalem Girls and Maternity Home. They also visited a feeding program run by our partners in a poor housing compound.

All of them agreed that it was an eye-opening experience and they appreciated the work that is taking place there. You can read Ashley Lindsay's trip report in our summer 2011 update newsletter.

Crestview, Florida Mission Team Returns from Haiti.

A group of 13 men and boys from Emmanuel Baptist Church spent May 27th through June 4th in Mare Rouge, Haiti ministering to the students at Human Care School. The team built a cookhouse for the new school lunch program, painted the classroom walls, taught the boys about becoming Men of God, ran a sports clinic, and bonded with the guys despite the language barrier. Needless to say it was a busy, but life-changing, week for everyone. Yo can read Ryan Carter's report in our summer 2011 update newsletter.

The team was stocked full of creative people with incredible video and photography skills. They were nice enough to put together a video highlighting their experience. It is well worth your time to watch it.
