Our Values

a

Statement of Faith

We believe in the triune God, the Holy Trinity represented in God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in God the Father as the Almighty and Holy God, the Creator of the universe, which was spoken into existence by His divine power. He is the eternal, sovereign, and loving God who willingly gave His only Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins.

We believe in Jesus Christ as God’s only Son, who willingly chose to leave the Father’s side in heaven and lay down his life in order to redeem sinners. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, was crucified unto death, was buried, and was resurrected on the third day. He ascended to His Father. He is the living Word who took on human flesh but also possesses all the Deity of God the Father.

We believe in the third person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit. We believe that the Holy Spirit reveals Christ to men and that He is given to every believer. He convicts of sin, righteousness, and judgment and is the indwelling power that enables Christians to live according to the calling and mandates of God’s Word. He allots spiritual gifts to each believer that are to be used for the edification of the Body of Christ.

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. We believe that men wrote under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and that God was the ultimate author and protector of His Word to mankind. It is the supreme and final authority on all spiritual guidance and nothing in contradiction to the Word of God should be accepted as truth. We believe that we are dependent on the Holy Spirit for true spiritual understanding and application of scripture.

We believe that man is created in the image of God, but that man is born as a sinner and separated from God because of Adam’s fall. We believe that nothing good dwells in man apart from Jesus Christ because man is inherently sinful.

We believe that faith in Jesus Christ accompanied by repentance of sins is the only means of salvation. We believe that salvation is totally a work of God’s grace, and that no amount of good works would be possible to earn God’s favor or salvation.

We believe that the church is the Body of Christ and is comprised of all who have been born again unto salvation. We believe that Christ is the Head of the church and has gone to prepare a place for us and will one day come to retrieve His Bride.
