Haiti Feeding Program
Heart of the Bride is committed to serving those in greatest need according to God's heart for orphans (James 1:27). HOB pursues this mission in developing nations through partnership with indigenous ministry partners. Because of the overwhelming needs in the ministry locations HOB serves, there are many Christian brothers and sisters caring for orphans through their own limited resources.
Like the Samaritan who interrupts his journey to assist a half dead man out of compassion there are times HOB partners or HOB staff encounter situations that cannot be ignored out of compassion for those in greatest need.

Since 2007, Heart of the Bride has recognized the incredible need for food relief in Northwest Haiti and worked to provide food for as many orphans as funds allow.
HOB currently provides food for over 250 orphans in the region — for most this is their only meal of the day. Hunger is pervasive and the general population suffers from malnutrition regardless of age. Heart of the Bride is proud to be a Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) food distribution partner to assist in meeting these needs.
At no charge, FMSC provides Heart of the Bride with its Manna Pack Rice™ product — a fortified rice and soy protein meal — in a 40-ft shipping container. HOB must raise the funds to ship the container to Haiti (currently about $13,000 US) for distribution by our partner Christian Human Care.
HOB is providing each orphan with a daily meal for about $7 a month!
